I have been a professional photographer in Cairns for over 20 years. Throughout my career I’ve strived to give everything a go. Perhaps starting my career as a photojournalist for the Cairns Post Newspaper (before using digital cameras - hard to even imagine) instilled this love of variety in what I can photograph.
I can capture action, emotion, energy and enjoyment and can tell a story through editorial style imagery. I love photographing people - I'm a people person and I believe that shows through my work.
I'd like to think that I am approachable, flexible and patient and I work hard and have attention to detail.
Over recent years, I have mainly concentrated on Commercial Photography and Event Photography in the Cairns region and beyond (if the job takes me there!) I would love to meet you! So please reach out for your photography needs!

My role, here at Romy Photography is to make you and your business look as great as possible. It helps that I enjoy what I do, and I strive to make people feel comfortable in front of the lens. Not everyone loves getting their photo taken - I get it! But what i work hard to get - is it! The shots that you're happy with. The ones you're stoked to have on a website, in a magazine, on socials, or even a billboard!
